IASST Norway Meeting Postponed
The International Association for Safety and Survival Training (IASST) wishes to advise members that the meeting planned to be hosted in Norway has been postponed.
This has been an unavoidable decision due to an ongoing corporate restructuring within our host organisation, Energy Innovation. As a result, our hosts are not currently in a position to commit the resources required to deliver the meeting to the standard expected by both Energy Innovation and IASST.
Energy Innovation remains fully committed to hosting an IASST meeting, which has now been rescheduled for September/October 2027. We are confident that this will provide an excellent opportunity to deliver a successful and memorable event.
While we appreciate that this postponement may cause inconvenience, the IASST Executive Committee is actively exploring whether an alternative meeting format can be delivered this year. If any member association believes it may be able to accommodate a virtual meeting or propose another practical solution at relatively short notice, we would welcome expressions of interest.
We are pleased to confirm that planning for the IASST Canada Meeting in March/April 2027 continues as scheduled and remains unaffected by this postponement.
Further updates regarding this year's meeting arrangements and any alternative options will be communicated as soon as they become available.
The IASST Executive Committee thanks all members for their understanding, continued support and flexibility. We look forward to welcoming members to Canada in early 2027 and to Norway later in the year.
