Dear Colleagues,
As you may already know, 2011 will be an exciting year for the International Maritime Rescue Federation (IMRF), as we look forward to holding our four-yearly World Maritime Rescue Congress, from 24th to 28th of August, in Shanghai China. Our colleagues in China Rescue and Salvage are already working very hard making preparations to welcome our many international guests.
Over the next few months, we will provide you with more information on the event. In the meantime, we attach a preliminary brochure. Please feel free to circulate this to any of your friends and colleagues, who you think may be interested.
You may also remember that our Congress now includes an International Search and Rescue Exhibition. At IMRF we believe that there are many shared benefits to be gained from encouraging our rescuers to work closely with our service providers and suppliers. This can help to ensure that we all end up with craft and equipment which is best suited for the challenging missions which we undertake. We would also be very grateful if you could advise your key suppliers of the event. They may be very grateful for an opportunity to introduce their products to your international colleagues.
